Creating a Welcoming Outdoor Space
A well-designed outdoor space gives restaurants more flexibility to welcome guests and make the most of their frontage. For this project in Notting Hill, a large retractable fabric awning provides overhead cover across the restaurant’s pavement frontage, creating a more defined outdoor dining area.
The cream-coloured awning complements the building’s white frontage and existing signage, while its generous projection provides cover over the entrance and seating area.
A Practical Solution for Restaurant Dining
Commercial outdoor spaces need to work for both the business and its customers. The retractable awning offers a practical way to provide overhead cover while retaining flexibility when the awning is not required.
Photographs of the completed installation show the awning both fully extended and partially retracted, demonstrating its adjustable configuration. The clean, neutral fabric also sits comfortably alongside the restaurant’s distinctive architecture, colourful exterior artwork and planted frontage.
